{Real Party} & {New to the Shop} -- Little Rockstar Baby Shower

I recently co-hosted a baby shower for one of my sweet cousins, Shelby.  Shelby is pregnant with her first child -- a baby boy.  When we started discussing themes, I knew a "Little Rockstar" theme would be perfect because the momma-to-be just happens to be the lead singer in a band! 

Shelby's band is more Southern Rock, than hard rock. The band compares their music to "an afternoon thunderstorm sweeping through the pine trees of the Georgia hills."  Shelby also loves rainbow colors, which matches her bright, colorful personality.  So, when I started designing the invitation and paper goods for the party, I combined a rustic, Southern feel with rainbow colors. 

Party Details:
Shelby's aunt, Beverly, hosted the party at her lovely home.  We served Chocolate Cupcakes with Peanut Butter Buttercream, Chai Cupcakes with Chai Buttercream (a request from the momma-to-be), Fruit Platter, Lemon Sugar Cookies and Punch.  Beautiful white daisies, a sweet Southern favorite, decorated the food table.  Guests completed a "Wishes for the Little Rockstar" card for the baby boy.  As a favor, guests took home dark chocolate stars, which could be stirred in coffee or hot cocoa.
