Easter Fun Recap

Sunday, April 8, 2012

I hope that you had a blessed, fun, chocolate-filled Easter and Passover weekend!  For the past few years, we have spent Easter out of town because it fell during Spring Break.  This year, we decided to stay in town and were able to spend Easter with family.

Before church, I made the kids bunny cinnamon rolls. I found this super easy idea over at A Suble Revelry.  It took just minutes to make the bunny face.  Apparently my hubby didn't think that I was fast enough because he kept reminding me to get in the shower so we wouldn't be late for church.  (I must admit, though, that I do have a bad track record for getting ready for church on time!)

After church, we headed to my mom's house for Easter lunch and an egg hunt.  My kids always love time spent with their beloved cousins!

It also happened to be my sweet Granny's 80th birthday this week.  I made this Lemon Raspberry Pink Ombre Swirl cake to celebrate her.

No matter your age, being serenaded with "Happy Birthday to You" and blowing out candles, is always fun!

The pink ombre was carried out in the cake, too.

Hope that you and yours had a wonderful holiday weekend, too!
